Bio-Sep has three key initiatives in progress for the first half of 2017 to align with the final development stages of the BioSonic FP7 EC project
- Execute a trial program with the soon to be commissioned pilot plant to both optimise the technology for commercialisation and to test its efficiency on a range biomass inputs
- Identify potential partners and stakeholders to plan and build a commercial demonstrator bio-refinery utilising the Bio-Sep technology
- To raise appropriate project finance for the next phase of development
Company News from Q1 2017
BIOSONIC FP7 EC Project: Bio-Sep has been formerly appointed by the European Commission as project co-ordinator to complete the final administration and reporting. With the assistance of other consortium members, we are in the process of completing the project.
Technical development: The pilot plant continues to be located in Melton Mowbray and a programme to optimise the bio-refining process; and determine the robust economics of the pilot plant is agreed with various agencies for implementation during Q2 this year.
Appointment of new Director: David Dutton has joined the Board upon the invitation of the Chairman, subject to shareholder confirmation at our AGM in April 2017. David was formerly Chairman of UCL Business (for which he was a founding member over 20 years ago) and a main Board Director of DMGT Group plc where he had specific responsibility for their portfolio of new technology investments.
